What a drag kelsie! You poor thing and your poor dog too. I hate when things like that happen.

Elston, you have done an amazing job with this diet of yours. lacey has too. With people like the two of you showing others that it can be done maybe it will instill some of that needed confidence in others. Won't be long and you'll both be thin, lean working machines!! Keep up the great work!!

Elston that is great news-you are doing so well and it's encouraging to you!

I've been behaving even during the holidays and to tell the truth I didn't miss anything or crave anything and I think the thing is we are not "dieting" but changing the way we eat. That's the key.

Just back from store-stocking up for an expected 3 snowstorms next week, bring it on I'm ready!

Hunker down Lacey. As long as you are stocked with lots of Velveeta all is well.

Great going Lacey and Elston !!! - you are an inspiration, I just need a little of your will-power please... do you have a recipe for that?

I did get out on my bike this morning and did 10 miles in glorious sunshine, so it's a good start to the new year, just have to keep it up....

Kelsie - how dramatic! I am sure there are easier ways to get hubbie off the phone... Hope the lobster was still OK???

Tonight I plan to make a dish I've eaten at a restaurant - pounded chicken breasts, filled with a cheese and jalapeno mix, then rolled up into fat tubes with bacon around them, skewered and grilled... I imagine then finished in the oven...

Question - which cheese would you use in this dish?

SD I wouldn't use anything like a cheddar-maybe a cream cheese or monterey jack?

I think the dish was Mexican-inspired....the cheese melted into a creaminess, rather than a stringy-cheesiness - is monterey like that?

Happy New Year all!

Cold from HE**'s been hangin' on like a gator with lockjaw

Finally seems to be starting the way out but there's a tug o' war over how much energy it's taking with it.

I think I'm gonna need something meaty tonight, maybe just cheeseburgers but definitely something meaty

Kelsie thanks for the tips on the chix.

Today it is so cold and I just can't seem to get warm I through on a pot of soup.
The holidays are now officially over, I cheated like crazy so skbs I know how DH feels....this week I used my free pass(so you don't have to weigh-in) at Weight Watchers so I don't know what the damage is but I had to get back on the horse. I did well until I starting baking cookies making fudge calzones and all that good stuff but I will tell you, I sure felt lousy.
Soup cures everything.
