I was wondering what people think of selling their own homes instead of listing with a Realtor. We had it listed with a Realtor and found out she wasn't returning calls from other Realtors or us sometimes. So we put our home up for sale ourselves but was wondering about doing the FOR SALE BUY OWNER web site. Any and all input would be great. Looking to sell quickly by August. We are wanting to move before school starts.

Watch out for FSBO websites becuase from what I've heard, charges rack up quickly, nearly to the point of a full service realtor. No pro here, but that's what my cursory research has shown.

I have bought and sold 3 homes in the last 6 years and have never considered fsbo. My home is my biggest investment and, although you do pay a premium by using a realtor, I want a professional to deal with all the red tape and not to have to try to figure out what to do myself. I have learned that all rates are negotiable with realtors. I would advise you to find a new realtor. Talk to your neighbors, friends, relatives and ask for recommendations.
