I think they are worse than hurricanes.

They come up quick without almost any warning and are total destruction.

I agree 100%--I was thinking the same thing earlier today. And don't forget the earthquakes.

Fires, mudslides, earthquakes. The fires are the worst because the smoke odor travels hundreds of miles and stays in your clothes and furniture for a long time.

Southern Cal has awesome weather but they sure pay a price for it....both real estate prices and natural disasters.

I prefer neither. There are places with decent weather which are somewhat affordable which aren't prone to earthquakes, hurricanes and forest fires.

I've never had any issues with major hurricane damage, I live in Sarasota, and we haven't had a direct hit from a hurricane in 100 years. However, the constant heat and humidity is exhausting and gross, I am totally tired of it. It's late October, it's still 90 degrees during the day and in the 70s at night. The mosquitos are still swarming and biting as you mentioned. On top of all this the cost of living is very high.

Isn't it funny how most of the most expensive places are the most dangerous? And remember, we have our fires in Florida too.

The wildfires here in 98 scared me worse than any hurricane in 50 years!

We don't have any mildew. Why do you have mildew?

Probably because we got 15 inches of rain in September, the yard is shaded by big trees, and it is still 75 degrees at 4:30 in the morning at the end of October.

It is appearing on some outside wood paneling and facia boards. No problem inside where it is air conditioned.
