I am overly confused. My family is moving to Florida and I'm trying to figure out where to live. The following are highly important:

1. Within an hour of Miami
2. Great schools -want to send kids to public school K-12
3. Family neighborhood - young kids

As an aside to the three requirements, I don't want this to sound out of line, but I don't want to feel like an outsider in the community we live in. We are Catholic and originally from the northeast. I know different areas have different demographics and I am all for diversity, but want to be able to have commonality with my neighbors, etc.

We are considering after reading school reviews: Boca, Parkland, Weston and Davie. I would add ot the list of there was a good school district.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Boca is an extremely Jewish area - just an FYI.
It's really a matter of luck as far as landing in a friendly neighborhood and most people I know send their kids to private school.

I would dump Boca, Parkland and Weston and add Cooper City along with Davie. Cooper City has traditionally had great public schools and would offer more commonality in my opinion than the other three mentioned.

I think Boca, Parkland, Coral Springs are great towns to consider. Yes, boca has a large Jewish population, but there is certainly a large Christian demographic as well. In fact, if u look at numbers alone, Christians outnumber Jewish residents in Boca. Same with everywhere else in south FLA.

Saint Joan of Arc parish in Boca is lovely. There's a few other parishes in boca as well where you'll find what you're looking for.

Coral Springs and Parkland are also nice family areas with a good young vibrant population.
