It varies form state to state. If a hold harmless is "worthless", it sure wouldn't draw the attention of the Florida Supreme Court. Cases would just be tossed at the district, non-appellate level. By and in itself it probably is worthless but could be an added layer of protection in the lease agreement. Also, just about any document you sign is worthless if gross negligence is involved.

Here's another example....go to just about any junkyard where you pull auto parts yourself and they'll have you sign a paper, if you get hurt out here it's on your dime, enter and dismantle at your own risk. I've not heard of too many j-yards getting sued and I've witnessed some pretty serious injuries.

cant speak for FL except to say people end up with 20 ft snakes and alligators in them.
here u r guna get a dead or injured kid and a lawyer involved with your pool sooner or later.
trouble fixing to happen. fill it in says the CA prop mgr. trust me u tell them not to run around pool & then they will and then the parent sues u.

I rented a house with a kidney shaped pool once and it was a blast for the first 2 months and after that it was kind of a pain constantly having to clean it. I had a tree over the pool too though so depending on the setup you might really enjoy it.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?
