To make the makeover complete, nearly one million sea oats were planted on protective sand berms along almost the entire length of the beach. In addition, two new public beach ADA compliant beach walkovers are under construction near the Navarre Beach pier.
This was the result of hurricane Dennis, but life within the beach has not slow down. Everyone has come back and most of the facilities that were damaged are fix or in the process to be repaired.

We've been back twice since the hurricanes. There has been great progress, especially on the beach.

Are there any recently published articles or reports on the housing market in navarre? Going up, down, flat, what's moving, what's sitting there, what's being built, etc? Where could I find that?

From a person who has traveled Florida for 25 years + and I am there at least once per month or more, I can honestly say the panhandle is absolutely beautiful. Navarre has its own little charm just like many other towns in Florida, but I can tell you as beach lovers, we really enjoy that beach and will even more since they widened it.
You are in paradise buddy, you and I know that. Cannot wait to come back to the panhandle for a swim in the ocean.
Got any new pictures you can show us?

I don't have a link, but I live here...

Prices are down from last year. (Unfortunately we bought in 2005, at the peak). But we plan to stay awhile, so aren't bothered. Building has slowed a bit.

We live in Holley By The Sea, which is a sort of large suburb in Navarre. Not too walkable, but quiet.

During June the county had over 140 sales (includes land and homes), during May over 300.... The prices are at least 20 to 25 percent lower and this time of the year the military members are moving so many more houses in the market. A good negotiator can get a very good price....
