I hope you don't all mind my posting all these...I didn't paint any of them, but I love art, modern, traditional, cubist, impressionist, realism, all of it.
This is by Sonia Del Signore, one of three of hers I have and my favorite of hers:

Here're the Signore trio on the wall. They're quite large. The one above is on the far right of the three:

these three are Mid-Eastern Turkish inspired oil on wood:

This one is by a well-known turn-of-the-century (1900) English artist named Maud Hollyer in a water color. It hung in my grandparents' formal living room from the early 1930's until they died, and eventually I was given it. It's an English cottage/garden scene...sorta of Kinkaidish Evey

Here is the Hollyer Water color above the two Victorian chairs that also were in my Grandparent's living room. I've kept the whole thing together and it's in the guest room. It gives an idea of the size of the painting:

This is another antique oil on wood, but of lillies. It's dark with grime, but I'm afraid to clean it because it's so fragile and the gilded frame is crumbly. It hangs in my dining room:

I love Art Deco and this Art Deco Lady by an artist named R. Vega ( I know nothing about him) hangs in my bedroom. She's oil on wood, one of my favorites:

I wish I had talent myself, but I don't. So I keep a balance of most styles as I like them all and they mix well in my opinion. Hope you like the pics!

Thank you Adream!! She'd be embarrassed with the compliments...but I agree, she's freakin' awesome as an artist and I love her work. I'm afraid to ask her for anything though because she worked on the one she gave me for months when she could and I know she invested a lot of time and effort into it for me. I want more though... !!!!! I think she and Mariatherese could give a good sized art exhibition!

MoMark, I love the Art Deco woman! Oh what a beautiful piece to have in your home! You have good taste. I am particularly fond of art nouveau and art deco, and the commercial art of that era.

That sure was nice of you to say Baltic_Celt Thank you
And mariatherese...I just checked out my sister's website (you have the link in your private messages) and look under the illustrations where you see her "Greta Garbo" portrait...it's life-like and the color is fantastic. I just sent her an email to see when she gets home BEGGING for that piece of work.... I don't know if she did it for herself or for a client, but it's beautiful. I want it! I'm gonna work on her and see how far I get..!!

You have some nice art in your home Mark!

Here is a more traditional piece I did. I painted this as a gift for my husband for Christmas last year. Sorry about the flash, bad lighting in this room so I had to use it.

txgrl- nice... that reminds me of a mural i once did for the local coast guard station showcasing one of their new boats... i learned really quickly that water is a lot harder to paint than you think!

cahpsuth- i dont know why you can't... just click on the little button that has a picture of a mountain on it (up by the text formatting buttons: bold, italic, etc). it will prompt you to paste in your link and it will write the code for you.
