For those under 5'5''...

Are you getting regular or petite/short?
That makes a huge difference.

Just FYI "petite" and "short" are different things. I have short legs but am not "petite" - the "petite" cut has a shorter rise and never fits me properly.

I am 5'3" and my legs are too long to wear either petite or short....they look ridiculous on me!

Thats a pretty rude and inappropriate post! By the way, 5'3" and 130 lbs is not thin at all, its probably average or above average. I am 5'3" and 113lbs and am not too thin at all. AND there is nothing vain about being healthy!

Wow. Are you seriously getting upset about me feeling annoyed about sizing? All I did was create this thread about something that kind of irked me. If you don't agree or have some issue with the topic, why not just ignore the thread. How...odd. I'm befuddled.

I'm certainly not too thin.

...I've learned, however, that it seems to be controversial to allude to being slender on these forums.

I am 5'6" but I do wear petite sizes sometimes because even "short" length pants are too long for me sometimes. I am also very high-waisted so sometimes those same pants do not have the right rise, so it is off to the tailor with the "short" pants! Sometimes petite dresses or blouses look better on me because of the way I am proportioned but it varies from dress to dress, blouse to blouse. Mainly I have found that petite skirts are great for me because the regular ones in my size are usually too long, i.e. a knee-length skirt that is longer than that on me!

petite also means thin though...short and thin? Someone who is short but overweight would not be considered petite.
