I did some research to have my nose done. My nose is too big and not tall enough. I visited a doctor in local who is double certificated by 1)American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstruction Surgery & 2) American Board of Otolaryngology; but he is not certificated by America Board of Plastic Surgery.

However, I searched online "how to select a top plastic surgeon", many recommend the surgons certificated by "America Board of Plastic Surgery". So I am confused: for nose surgery, what kind board certifcated doctors I should choose.

One thing about this surgeon is: he claims that he has more than 20 years experience, but his photo gallary showed less than 10 patients who did nose job in his clinic. He was active from late 80 and early 90 (surgeries, board certificates etc.); but was quite from mid 90 to 2006 (only issued 2~4 papers each year). Starting from 2006, he has become active in facelift and laser suergeries. It is very weird and I do not know if he is good or not.

Can anyone tell? Thanks!

I've never had a nose job, or any plastic surgery for that matter, but I was thinking about breast augmentation before. I did some research and it said that you should make sure that your plastic surgeon is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Here is the link...

How to Choose a Plastic Surgeon (http://www.plasticsurgery.org/Patients_and_Consumers/Choose_Your_ASPS_Member_Surgeon/How_to_Choose_a_Plastic_Surgeon.html - broken link)

When it comes to the plastic surgeon you mentioned, I wouldn't go with him, because to me something sounds fishy.

Best of Luck to you!!!

@ billandmary...did you ever find a surgeon and if you did, did he/she do a good job? I am looking for a surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty but I've looked in San Antonio and I've only seen one before and after photo for each??
One of the Dr.s I went to also was ENT certified but I don't know what Plastic Surgery certification he had.
Please let me know how yours turned out.
Thanks!
