What about some spanx? There is a knock off brand that Target sells...Assets.
These are GREAT! They don't sit too tight - don't feel all "girdle-ish" - they wash well, they are not too hot for summer...just all around great for under white clothes

I keep hearing how great they are... I must've had a bad experience or bought the wrong size. I had a pair but after a few glasses of wine out one night they felt so horrid and hot I took em off and dumped em in the ladies' room garbage can!

LOL ... I did go up a size, and on a really muggy day, I do think they wouldn't be as ideal as say...going commando! Then again, who knows - a few glasses of wine might compel me to ditch them as well!
There is another brand - I'm trying to remember They are super lightweight panties cut similar to boy shorts; except they have no elastic around the leg openings. I got them at JCPenny - maybe they were Ambrielle or something like that?

Go up a size from what you would normally buy, I had the same issue until a saleslady at Saks helped me out, and told me in Spanx you should go a size up.
Since we're talking ladies underwear here... maybe this won't be too far off-topic... but I really can't stand anything Victoria's Secret... It's so cheap!! I used to buy a particular bra there a few years ago, but they've changed it and now it's awful. Does anyone else think Victoria's Secret is cheap? I mean it pricey, but the quality is low-end.

I have iffy luck with them... some things last forever, some last 2 wearings. Lately their colors and styles have at least been better though.
Last Christmas I won a $500 gift card from them though! That did a lot to make me a bigger fan of theirs!

I work in an office and there is a lady here that wears bright red panties when she has white pants on. You can definitely see 'em through the pants.
While I don't mind it, that is not very professional!
