I haven't read all 15 pages of this thread, but i'm sure there's plenty of talk about the people who go shopping in their pajama pants.

My take on it is this: I have issues with depression and agoraphobia, I have bad days where I don't even check the mail and stay in my pajamas. And sometimes on those bad days, I still have to leave the house for some reason. If i'm ever so depressed that I can't even bother to change my pants, it's time for medication. And i'm not a 'dressy' person. I wear jeans 99% of the time, own more t-shirts than any other article of clothing, and wear makeup once a week. But if i'm going somewhere, my hair is brushed, my clothes are daytime clothes and they're clean. If you can't put five minutes of effort into your appearance, then there's a much deeper problem going on.

I went grocery shopping once and there was a guy in the checkout with no shirt, and basketball shorts that were below his beer gut and I couldn't understand why none of the managers weren't kicking him out.

No, because jeans are jeans, and they look like they're wearing jeans.

So why pay that much, when you can buy them for $20 or less elsewhere?

Its about the fit TK, price does make a difference sometimes.

I think the thing everyone needs to keep in mind that people are not trying to say that the one person in sweat pants is bad, or the disabled needing a cart is bad--it's the overall percentages and attitudes at Walmart. I garauntee that the percentage of people wearing slippers at Walmart is MUCH higher than at Target, Kroger or even K Mart--When you can walk down one aisle and see one person in too tight sweats, another in pajamas, and another spanking her two kids and cursing---well you get the gist.

I think the general problem is that people just don't care anymore. Now I'm not saying you should put on makeup and wear heels to Walmart but you can put on clothing (even if it is a nice, correctly sized hoodie and sweats) and appropriate footwear and comb your hair--it doesn't matter how much money you make you can do this. Someone earlier posted about maybe stained ill fitting clothes were all that people could afford--but this simply is NOT true and rather insulting to people who don't have a lot of money but still strive to make themselves look nice. Oftentimes you can get barely worn things at Yard Sales for $.50 that are not stained and in your right size...

I couldn't tell the difference between a pair you paid $20 for and a pair you paid $200 for. So it's a waste of money.
