We should start a new thread on this topic. I keep telling myself it is time to step up and starting wearing nicer underwear, but I always fall back on the same old grandma style for the sake of comfort.
Does anyone know where to find a floor-length (I'm 5'10") cotton-gauze caftan? I have searched locally and online to no avail. I used to have one, wore it to rags, and can't find one since. It felt wonderful to put on after showering from the beach or yard-work. Thanks for any leads!

I wasn't sure I liked the floor-length summer dress until I saw some of these in Bill Cunningham's recent "The Street" photo essay. Now I gotta get me some!
I love them but don't own any because I am only 5 4" and I think it's going to drag on the floor like a wedding gown...........LOL They make them tooooo long for me
I really like them if they're well-fitted until the hips. They're very comfortable and breezy.
I just picked one up at Salvation Army for $6. It's fabulous looking! Such a hit! It is not well fitted through my hips, but light and breezy and oh, so comfortable!!!

I'm wondering if it will ever be warm enough in this area of the country to need a light and breezy dress this year. Oh well at least I have a chance to use my scarves and sweaters
I guess this is when I appreciate my height.
My daughter is 5'5" and feels she can't wear them either. She does compromise though and finds dresses shorter and depending on the style, just how short. She does love the flow and feel of dresses.
People just have to go with the style that best suits their own body.
Agreed. There are plenty of cute looks (on other people) that I don't wear, because they're hard to find with my long leg length, because they don't look good with my wide hips/small waist, because they're not cut for my thighs, etc. You just have to work with what you've got, and realize that not every style is flattering to every body type or frame, and that's okay.

Thanks, Dream, but that's not it. What I'm looking for is that wrinkly gauze 100% cotton. It's more of a lounging thing, since it's almost see-through!
