So I decided to grow my hair out last year and its the longest its ever been. I've always been a short hair guy. 1-2 inches on top at most with 1/2 inch the sides. Now, its 6-8 inches on top and about 4-5 inches on the sides and bottom. Its now long enough to put in a little ponytail if I wanted to.
The girl I was dating really liked it. Her hair is barely longer than mine so maybe thats why. I asked another girl I use to date and she hates it.
I'm thinking of growing it out another 2-3 inches and stopping after that. I don't want super long hair but compared to most guys, my hair is super long.

What do you ladies prefer typically?
Answering this post is like being asked if I like an instrumental song that you are paragraphically describing in a text message body.
Depends on both the guy and the attributes of his hair.
Agree with this^
but also I do usually prefer hair to be short(er), like how that looks & feels.
A buzz cut is velvety soft, lovely to run one's fingers over-for me, that is.
Doesn't mean it has to be *that* close-cropped, though-but a shaved nape is nice...
Personally I rarely like a man with long hair and I definitely do not like a man who has a ponytail.
Not that it is right or wrong or that I would not be friends with them since it is hair and it is on their head, it is just my personal preference that men have short hair.
If my husband were to have long hair I would still keep him and I would not ask nor demand him to cut his hair.
The only thing I do ask him not to do is shave his beard but he has had a beard for about 40 years so that really is not an issue.
