I'd file those under my "cheer mom" attire. I LOVE watching those women climbing the bleachers in those shoes and some of the outfits they wear.

Sorry, they just scream "fashion victim" at me.
The definition of fashion victim, to me anyway, is the buying and (more unfortunately) wearing of trendy, gaudy stuff, in the vain hope of looking sexxxxxaaaay! Fashion victims just look silly and desperate.
I know, judgmental. So shoot me.

I can imagine hundreds of these uglies in a bin at the Salvation Army or Purple Heart store with a big sign: "5 pair for a dollar" a year from now.
Imagine trying to clean them after you've stepped in mud or dog poo.

I thought they were pretty ugly at first, but once they're on they actually look really good. They go a lot better with retro clothes, and for clubbing..they definitely are not an everyday shoe. But I love them for dancing. The caging actually reduces pressure points, and they're the most comfortable shoe that I own...I can dance 6 hours and my feet feel just fine.
