Can anyone recommend a makeup for dry skin? I read many posts that suggest makeup for oily or combo skin, but not many people seem to have the problem of applying makeup on dry skin.

I've tried so many of the "cheap" liquid foundations that can be found at the drug stores, of which Neutrogena seemed to be the best (I also have really light skin and this makeup had the only shade that matched best). But I do not like how liquid foundations "pool" makeup on my laugh lines and forehead.

I've also tried bare minerals and although I like the ease of putting it on, it doesn't do justice for my dry skin. I feel like it doesn't make my skin appear as smooth as I'd like it and in some lights seems to magnify the imperfect "texture" of my skin.

I use a great moisturizer from Clinique, but still need better foundation!

Please help!

Hi, TexasRandi,

Have you tried tinted moisturizers? For about the past five years I have been using Neutrogena Healthy Defense tinted moisturizer and it works great. It doesn't give complete coverage the way foundations do but does give a hint of color. Recently I started using Loreal Age Perfect Pro Calcium tinted moisturizer and I love it. Both keep your skin moisturized all day and have sunscreen in them for added protection. I'm sure you will be pleased with either of these two products. Good luck to you.

This!

Lancome Tinted Moisturizer Imanance is what I use for my extremely dry skin. I do several chemical peels during the year, to help with exfoliation and I follow the Obagi skin care system.
I also have increased fish oil caps and watch my diet.
I have also been using Carmindy's Primer from Sally Hansen. Good luck!
