There are so many makeup brands out there; you can't try them all. I'd like to hear of some summer recommendations for foundation``for when it's really hot but you still wear makeup everyday

I live in Chandler, Az and wear i.d. Bare Minerals. I like it because if feels natural and helps absorb the oils in my skin. BTW I am 47.
I would go to a major department store an test a few brands. Mac, Chanel, Bobbi Brown, are the top three i would consider trying also ask for samples to take home.
Need more info -- dry mature skin? Oily? Prone to breakout? Needs heavy coverage?
I've been very happy with Tarte's tinted moisturizer Smooth Operator. It does have shimmer, but the shimmer is what softens the lines. I don't wear powder at all -- my skin is dry and powder makes me feel like all the water is being sucked out.

The powdered eye shadows make my eyes feel that way. I am looking for colored eyeshadow in cream form.
Thanks for suggestions. Yes - to clarify - mature, combination skin leaning definitely towards drier. Right now I have been using Lancome Teint Idole Ultra which is fine for winter but looking for something lighter weight for upcoming warmer weather but definitely has to have coverage.
For a drugstore brand, I really like the L'Oreal True match - it goes on nicely and feels light on your skin.
