It's true. But I've been noticing a lot more it recently, too. Even my husband commented on it lately.

It's becoming a more common sight where I live (in the 'burbs). And while there's a Walmart about 7 miles from me, I see people in pjs everywhere. Can't say I've seen it in the Walmart.

I thought pajama pants would be the most common in suburb and least common in more urban areas

Example take city philadelphia vs suburbs of philadelphia.
You think that conservative people don't wear pajama pants?

I live in a smaller town of around 12k and Walmart is the place I see easily 95% of the people wearing them. Very rarely see people wearing them anyplace else.

Also, I want to add that guys are equally at a fault to this as girls are, they frequently show up to school in pajama bottoms, so please stop with this crap that girls are trashy for wearing things that they are comfy in this, or atleast stop pushing all the blame on them. We are in a 21st century, guys and girls are equal and I am so tired of girls getting called out for doing literally the same thing that guys are doing.
I think they all look like slobs. I'm an equal opportunity hater when it comes to PJs in public.

Well, my dear haters - my black fleece PJs fit better than some jeans I see and are not as cheap as some dress pants I see. So I will continue PJs and matching vests in public. Beats jeggins any day!

I see it walking along the streets all the time. In fact, three days ago I saw several, a couple of them walking out of Burlington. But this is Portland-Metro, and you'll see anything around here.

Speaking of Walmart, I went there early last evening, & saw an older man shopping in his boxers, no shirt, bathrobe & scuffs, a style of house slippers. I live in the PNW, where it’s chilly & rainy right now & no one, including myself, paused. But, since moving here, I’ve seen a guy walk down the street in a suit of armor, another one dressed as Spider-Man, another one carrying a long-handled ax over his shoulder, another one swinging a machete around, soooooo…
