Love this look but I probably couldn't wear it. A) I'd get some type of stain on the white fabric before I left the house (hahaah) and B) I think it looks better on a thinner physique.
I think it's an elegant, luxurious look. I'm scared of wearing white pants because they are not easy to keep clean. My colour type is fall, so off white looks better on me than bright white. I like the idea of the same colour in different textures.
I like it. You can wear it, absolutely. You'll look great in it with your creamy skin. All white in the same shade is not very interesting. What undertone is your skin? Pink or orange/beige? A pinkish white jeans (if you have pink undertone skin) with one of your white sweaters will be just fine.
Fit is the most important. You are petite so no oversized things on you. Careful, the bag must be smaller too. Otherwise, you look like you're wearing your mom's bag. The same with the shoes, no chunky shoes. Same thing with jewelry, etc.

You must know me, I DO look lost in larger clothes, which was why the 1980s, with enormous puffy sleaves, padded shoulders, gigantic hair, and pleated pants and jeans was hell on earth for me. I cut my hair into a spikey pixie and mostly wore black - actually I still do wear mostly black.
You have very good advice for petites - NO CLUNKY, CHUNKEY boots, shoes, jewelry, or boots.
Wearing all white, I had a fear of looking like a snowman.
I find white only looks good on darker skin women. If you are pale, it makes you more invisible.
I think you've got something when it comes to cool, stark white. I graduated nursing school at a time when all nurses wore stark white. I looked blahh. Finding a wedding gown wasn't easy either. Fortunately, gowns with a hint of pink were stylish for about six months, so I bought one of those.
Definitely, the nurses who tanned easily, and had mounds of wavy, dark hare wore white uniforms better. I was so glad when RNs were allowed to wear colors and scrubs.
This white-on-white idea first crossed my mind when I saw a certain mini-series. The actress had a similar coloring to me and wore white through the whole series. THEN I started to see it everywhere.
I AM blonde. Not sure why I typed that. But I am petite. That is what worries me.
As to different colors of while there are probably more shades of white than any other color. Pink undertones, yellow, blue, grew, - and probably more that I am not aware of.
If all pieces of the outfit must match perfectly, that will be tough. I think that more than any color scheme I can think of, with the White-on-White, look the clothes must be quality.
I've seen an almost all white look where another color is added - depending on the hue of the white. A light beige - not really my favorite, a pale icy pink or a creamy pink. I have also seen it with black. Specifically black Clelsea boots and jeans.
What are your thoughts?
This I think is the easiest. I also think of it as a very 50's kind of chic look. Think Doris Day who pulled off some stunning white/cream outfits.
Here are three different whites. Each was selected for the coloring of the wearer, but together, they look meh. I vote for whites to match.
As an aside, Bette Midler is the only one with rhythm.
Thanks for that blast from the past! I agree about Bette being the only with with rhythm and all the looks being "meh."
But I did like the all white look in the Watcher, so maybe it's not just the white color, but her whole package and build and hair and skin tone put together.
