Glad to know I’m not the only one who has difficulty with fake lashes. I have tried a couple of magnetic ones. Just not steady handed enough.

I've tried the kind where you have to use magnetic eyeliner to attach a single strip of lashes and it works reasonably well. Much less messy than traditional glue with a bit less waiting time. I only wear them for odd special occasions. In each case my eyes were not irritated and the lashes stayed on all day. The only negatives are that it's still tricky to get the lashes positioned correctly, and the magnetic liner tends to dry out quickly even when the cap is closed tight.

I just want to say, 'In 20 years there will be a record number of blind, or almost blind people on their 30s, 40s and 50s than we can even imagine'.

So I assume you are an ophthalmologist or optometrist?

The fake eyelashes are getting really popular in my locale. My coworker has them and told me she pays about $80/mo to maintain them plus the initial fee of having them put on. Is there a way to DIY cheaper or should they be done professionally? Also considering tattoo eyeliner.

Been wearing them for over 25 years, do my own.
Hasn't affected my eyesight and no eye infections.

I almost fell sideways off my chair.

$80/mo???

Plus, initial fee?

I spend that every 3'ish...years.

Ardell and Kiss make a good variety of different styles.
I don't like the magnetic lashes for myself.

You can safely practice putting lashes on with Vaseline (on a cotton swab) instead of eyelash adhesive with a pair of tweezers holding each eyelash to apply. This is the best way to see if they're for you without using (a good) eyelash adhesive. They're so simple on/off once you get the hang of it.

I know a woman who makes her own homemade, all natural eyelash adhesive because her eyes are sensitive. Don't know the recipe, I'm sure it can be found online somewhere.

You're a lot braver than I am by considering eyeliner tattoo!
