For those who don't know...a "Hollywood" shower is a LONG shower...easily 20 to 30 minutes. As opposed to "Navy" showers, get wet, soap up, rinse off, done.

Only pure castille soap which is made out of coconut oil and does not have all the chemicals of regular soaps, bodywashes, etc. I am careful about trying not to put chemicals IN my body, so I try not to put them ON it either. Also only all-natural, chemical-free shampoo, moisturizer, etc.

I also used to love a certain peppermint castille liquid soap - so refreshing. I don't remember the name, but I do remember it having some sort or religious phrases on the label. I think Trader Joe's and possibly health food stores sell it.

I shower, and I usually only take baths during the winter, even then it's rare. If I take a lot of baths I notice my power bill goes up. Before I started recycling plastic I only used bar soap, but now I only use body wash. I'm a guy so I usually buy the Old Spice Sport (or Equate version of it). I have noticed since switching to body wash that my shower doesn't get soap scum build up nearly as often.

I'm a Dove bodywash guy. Showers for me in the morning and after the gym (or at night if the gym is first thing in the morning). Yes, I make it complicated on purpose.

Shower mostly since my tub is a jacuzzi and costs too much to run (water and electricity).

Soap, my own goat's milk soap.

And as for chemicals, all soap is the result of a chemical reaction between a fatty acid (oil) and a base (lye) called saponification. You can't make soap without lye and that includes castile soap which, by the way, is traditionally an olive oil soap. True Castile soap (with olive oil) can be soft or difficult to bring to trace so it's common to make it with some coconut and/or palm oil.

I do all...showers, baths, soaps and body wash. It depends on how much of a hurry I am in. Lately, I've been doing more of the body wash...I love the shampoo & conditioner & body wash of Bath & Body Works called Orange Ginger. The line unfortunately was discontinued but there are still a couple of sellers on eBay. Discovered this line at the Marriott which apparently has stockpiled this but it is an aromatherapy line and truly invigorating in the morning! To relax, I take a tub bath either with mineral salts (got one from someone's homemade line called Sleep Comes Easy with eucaluptus) but since we are on water restrictions, I only do baths once a week after a full day of laundry and gardening.
