Actually the Ironing Goddess is female. I would take it quite amiss if a guy tried to instruct me on how to iron. I’ve done truckloads of men’s shirts in my lifetime. But, as I posted before, do this however you want. There is no legal or illegal in this matter.

Kudos to a guy who irons his shirts!

True, but I can't recall the last time I saw pleated pants, let alone ironed a pair.

Big flattish things like the back of a shirt go on the square side.
The tapered end is good for getting inside narrow things like the shoulder of a shirt.
