Wife quit wearing panty hose a long time ago. Only tights during the winter. She doesn't seem to worry about smell. I might go without sock with deck shoes but not in my good leather shoes. Don't want them smelling. Sneakers, use the short socklets. Mostly wearing sandals in late spring through early fall here. NO socks with sandals!
I don't like the half-dressed look at all - for men or women. It looks sloppy and lazy.
I am all about the comfort. Last time I wore a dress was to a summer garden wedding last summer. It was a HOT, high humidity day, and the ceremony and reception were held outside in a beautiful garden. No way was I wearing anything on my legs.
All eyes were on the bride, not me, so I was not too worried.
Do people really not know about those liner socks that you can buy even at Walmart or Target for like $1/pair in a multi-pack?
I'm not referring to "no-show" socks, which only work under athletic shoes. I'm referring to liner socks, which are low enough that they are invisible when wearing shoes like driving loafers or that sort of thing.
What would Jesus do? He would say to me ‘hey dude I like the look, see no socks’.
For me it started back in the 50s, usually wore flip-flops. If I had to go somewhere that was less casual, I just slipped into my loafers. It was not popular in the 50’s, it was just me and still is. I don’t give a rats a## if you like or dislike it.
Jesus. People will fight about anything on CD. Not taking the bait. If you want to wear socks with your Louboutins, knock yourself out.
Bait? LOL. They are loafers. They actually work with or without socks.
