My last manicure was the day before my wedding, SEVERAL years ago.
I do my own nails, and keep them manageable and natural-looking, but feminine. I like a little glittery clear polish but that's about it.
I've had ONE pedicure in my life, and I hated it. I just did not like sitting up in that pedicure chair with that girl down there working on my feet. But I do keep my toenails polished all the time, usually bright red or a glittery plum.
Never had either one. I occasionally put clear hardener on my fingernails because my nails are so soft that they rip easily, and I put a reddish colour on my toes in the summer.
I've also never had a massage or facial or any spa treatment whatsoever. It's hard enough for me to steel myself to get haircuts, and I do that once or twice a year. Not a fan of being fussed over.
I've never had either. I'm not interested, don't want to spend the time or money, and to be honest the thought of someone fussing over my toes gives me the creeps. I don't think feet are very attractive, and making them more noticeable by painting the nails is just weird to me.
I have professional pedicures throughout spring and summer, or whenever I'm wearing open shoes. I do my own pedicures when the weather is too cold for open shoes.
I have professional manicures once in a while, especially if there's an occasion. Otherwise, I do my own manicures.

A manicure for my wedding and that was it.
My nails are like paper, but I don't like the feel of anything on them so I just keep them short, rounded and natural.
I've never had either one. Years ago when my nails were in bad shape I had artificial nails but that was only about 3 times. I had no patience for it. It was easier and nicer just to grow mine and keep them healthy.
I will do it as long as I can keep being a contortionist for my toes, lol.
I've never had either, and I have no interest in doing so. I don't even understand why anybody could be bothered to go out somewhere to get their nails done, but apparently it's very popular. Just about every new strip mall they build in my area has a nail salon.
I got my first manicure when I was in my late 20's. I didn't get another one until I was in my 40's. Then I got them regularly for about a year, but ultimately it was too time-consuming and expensive to keep up. Plus, I just really hate doing it - I don't like strangers touching me, and I'm always nervous they are going to cut me by mistake.
As one ages one flexibility can decrease to the point where you cant easily reach your feet anymore so a pedicure or cutting of the nails becomes a necessity.I have the procedure done twice a year.
