I have this on my wish list. As soon as my current wallet wears out I will be ordering it. It has good reviews and plenty of room for a lot of cards and stuff.
I like the mens and womens wallets at Fossil, whcih can be found at their stores and palces like Macy's. Not cheap but not as expensive as Coach, Kate Spade, Kors etc.
It seems like every man's wallet on Amazon and other websites, has plenty of bad reviews. People complain about bad quality on the stitching and the whole wallet falling apart after a few months. They even have the picture to prove it. These are wallets from well known popular brands too.
I bought a great wallet from an Australian company called Status Anxiety.
Just to hold the CC, DL and emergency cash I use a Zero Haliburton flip wallet. Very lightweight. Fits in the shirt breast pocket.
Owned it since 2004.
You might want to check out one of the Tyvek wallets made by Dynomighty. You can't get thinner, stronger, material, and they don't have any extra flaps and pockets to add thickness.
My husband has a Ghurka wallet. It's pricey, but it has a buttery leather feel and still looks like new after 10 years of daily use. It may be the last wallet you will ever have to buy.

I know what you mean. Target, Sears, Belks, they all seem to have the old style wallets. I couldn't even find what I wanted online.
My wife bought me exactly what I wanted. She found it at Mori Luggage at the mall. It's got a nice big 10-card pocket, which cash can also fit in, with a single windowed side for my driver's license or Mensa card. I love it.
It's made by Dopp.
