Yep, just bought my first designer bag over the weekend, and I am holding it, admiring it, loving it. No way is that thing sitting on the floor. It's my new baby. I just bought a PurseN organizer http://pursen.net/ to go in the inside of my bag. As much as the designer bag is, it doesn't come with many compartments, and I'm too afraid to even get the inside dirty, so hopefully this will help.

My purses are all eelskin. Lovely to look at and easy to clean. They last forever. My current purse is 20 years old, is used daily, and still looks as good as it did the day I bought it.

They don't look as impressive as leather, but wash up better! When my kids were little, I got my first "luxury" purse, a Coach, full leather. I took the kids t a movie, and DS spilled root beer all over it I tried cleaning it, but decided for the quality of the purse I sent it in to Coach. The zipper had become stuck due to the sticky soda, and the purse became discolored. Since it was still almost brand-new and under warranty, they gave me a new one, free! But from that point on, I used only cloth bags when out with the kids!

I have some for sale but they are not harveys.

I wash my bags after I switch to a different bag but before I wrap it and put it in the storage box.
Daily bags need washed more than once or tice a year.
