Yes, unfortunately. I work in a business where it's entirely possible I will encounter current, past or future clients in the course of everyday errands. No t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops for me, unless I'm on vacation. I may not go full-make up, etc., but the outfit is put together with a little care. At least once every couple of weeks or so, I'm going to be stopped at the grocery store or at the mall by a potental client.

I put on some makeup and decent clothes before I even walk out my door, even going to the mailbox. I like to look decent and presentable! Another thing is, this is a smallish town so I'm on 'acquaintance' terms with somebody almost everywhere I go.

I'm BOUND to run into someone.

Seriously? Why in the world would you worry about how you look if you ended up in an emergency room?
By the time you are cut out of the accident all cut up and bloody, no one is going to see your mascara, blush and a little lip tint and those yoga pants and tank top has more than likely already been cut off.

When I run errands or go anywhere I have already showered and dressed in what I normally dress in but it isn't because I am going anywhere special it is because I shower and dress most days whether I am going out of the house or not.

There are those days I do not feel well and stay in bed most of the day but that is something I cannot physically control.

I wouldn't get dressed up, but I wouldn't walk out in my pjs(like many do). Maybe comfortable yoga style capris or something more casual comfortable basic tshirt but clean and fitted, headband or bun for hairstyle, very light makeup will do.

I work from home but when I need to go out on errands I just put on something that doesn't look like I just got out of bed. Wind pants instead of sweats are usually sufficient. The t-shirt can stay. I also just wear sandals out most of the time anyway.

I usually wear shorts and tank top or t-shirt, occasionally jeans if it's cold. I wouldn't go out in my PJs but I don't dress up. As someone else here mentioned, So. Fla. is very casual. People dress up for work and for church, but for errands it is shorts, tank top, flip flops, etc. As long as I am showered and wearing clean clothes, I am good to go.

Either, I guess. More from the aspect of what if I got in an accident or something, would I want my coworkers to see that I was wearing my flannel PJs with ducks on them or should I just put on yoga pants for that midnight run to the grocery store? I err on the side of caution, I suppose.

At a minimum, I only go out in clothing I would be comfortable being pulled over by a police officer in. Hair done (at least a put together pony tail), jeans/shorts, shirt and shoes.

No yoga pants and no PJ's.
