They look like underwear. I am 66, 5'1", 100 lbs, a JUNIORS size 1 or 0, and live in Florida. What am I supported to wear????? Even in Missy sizes, which I would probably be a Size 000, they are still short shorts. The only time I have seen knee lenght shorts are in Plus Sizes. Not going to happen at my size. I have even tried raiding the CHILDRENS section to see if I can find longer shorts. Not a chance.

Even in my 20s I did not wear shorts this short. I used to cut off my old jeans at the knees and make shorts out of them. Do I have to do this again today?

Sundresses don't work because of my height (cut off half a foot?) and bra size (32 DD).

Hint garment industry? Not everybody gets FAT when they age. What are we supposed to wear????

Bermuda shorts.

I did a quick search for junior's bermuda shorts -- which I think would be around your size, yes? -- and found a bunch of stores selling them.

From what I see of young woman fashion in the summer, most shorts are way too short these days. If any of these girls were wearing regular underwear instead of thongs, they would be sticking out.

Size 2 is way too big. I have a 25 inch waist and 34 inch hips. By their sizing I would be a Size 00, which they don't have in bermudas. See my problem? Garment industry thinks I must be 12 years old at my size.

You are 5"1? My mother is also tiny. She has only worn Bermuda shorts her whole life because she knows what fashions are appropriate for her body type. Short shorts only look flattering on people with long legs. If you live in Florida I would look at stores with Lilly Pulitzer type clothing. Those types of places always carry Bermuda shorts. If you are looking for something cheaper old navy has stuff like that too. Maybe. I never go there. But I picture them to be the type of place that would sell cheap Bermuda shorts.

Vanity sizing. My wedding dress from 1974 was a size 5. I am the same weight today as I was then. Size 5 would fall right off me today.

Garment industry keeps makes clothes bigger and bigger so women can say but I am ONLY a size..........

Subject of ANOTHER thread there.

The petites in those catalogues don't have your size, OP? You might have to get the smallest size they have, then have them taken in.
