But pleated pants were worn for over a decade and when they were in style, everyone liked them just fine.

I've been watching a video lecture that is about 15 years old, and I cannot believe how roomy men's casual clothes used to be! That was the style then. It looked fine then. It looks odd now. Perhaps in 20 more years, we might like the look better, who knows.

I hate pleated pants because it looks like my junk is sticking up when I sit down. I get embarrassed if I don't have a desk in front of me when I sit down.
