I am actually pigeon-toed...and it is terribly uncomfortable. Definitely not enviable

Me too! I'm naturally pigeon-toed I feel like it makes me look too young, esp since I'm already the size of an 11-year-old. Hubby teases me for it, but I suppose if it repulsed him he wouldn't have been attracted to me lol.

So if models are mimicking that stance, I suppose they're just trying to look younger. It's weird because I'm always trying to make myself look older. *shrug*

I think it is meant to connote youth and helplessness. I noticed this pose a decade or two ago, but I don't remember if it occurred before. The old way to pose, circa 1950s and 1960s seemed to be a dance pose. Now you see everything.

If the person has a gamine or waif appearance, the turned in feet emphasize that, IMO.
