How will people stereotype 2010s fashion? (dye, color, blonde, guys)

I think this decade is pretty different from the 2000s in terms of fashion, though it continues some of the same trends like tattoos and piercings still being as popular as ever. The "hipster" thing has got really big obviously while the late 2000s emo and scene fashion has died out for the most part.

One thing I've noticed is wearing preppie clothes with logos isn't as cool as it was in the 1990s and 2000s. Hollister, Abercrombie, and American Apparel have been struggling in recent years and don't appeal to today's teens in the same way they appealed to people born in the 80s and early 90s.

Hip hop fashion doesn't seem as influential with white people as it used to be, it's largely gone back to its pre-90s phase of being highly influential on blacks but not crossing over as much.

Do you mean American Eagle where you said American Apparel? American Apparel is a very, very different company than Hollister and Ambercrombie for starters, and additionally they are not a company that brands their logo across everything so their inclusion seems odd to me.

Bright dyed hair on women. Red, pink, purple, green, light blue, etc. I don't think any other decade has seen this before, from what I know. It doesn't bother me at all, I think it's very interesting. On the other hand, I've seen young guys at the mall with huge blonde mullets, so....there's that.

Now if only we can get the automakers to design boxy cars again....

That bright color hair started back in the 2000's. It's been around a fairly long time, already.

It's about time hip-hop fashion finally died. It's been around since the early 90's. That's a 25-year run, more or less. I've never seen a fashion last that long, unless you count jeans as fashion.

I never saw it once in the 2000s. And I wasn't living under a rock, I was in middle and high school for more than half of the decade. And in Southern California, no less.

Unless you're referring to the mostly dark hair with a small bundle of very bright blue hair (or some other bright color) in it. I can't find a picture nor do I know what that specific hair style is called, but that's the only thing even remotely close to the bright dyed hair I'm seeing everywhere this decade. And they don't compare.

I doubt it. Skinny jeans come and go... they were pretty tight in the 70s and 80s, and the whole punk rock scene from the late 70s has always been into skinny jeans.

Still better than "saggn'" jeans. Glad to see that's almost gone away. The only men I see that look on are uneducated ghetto types. (and I'm not coding for "black men". I see it on white men too... looks stupid no matter who you are.)

The fashion now / 2010's:
Preppy is almost gone, replaced by hipster
1. Skinny jeans for both sexes.
2. Joggers for both sexes.
3. Ombre hair for girls.
4. Harem pants and flare pants for guys.
5. As sad as it sounds, oversize clothings for top are in now. especially in dull colors.
6. Hitler youth haircut for guys and sometimes girls.
7. Beard and staches.
8 Some 90s brands are coming back; Boy London, Moschino are two in minds.
9. Chukkas boots for guys.
10. Mom's jeans for girls.
Those are some I wear now and see on my friends and people around me wear and / or don now.

Fashion in 2000s while I was in college:
1. Everything preppy.
2. Also hot topic was more huge than now.
3, Vintage varsity t shirt and / or t shirt wit vintage / old looking color scheme with sometimes prints that are made as though the shirt has been washed gazillion times.
4. Flare / bell bottom jeans for both sexes.
5. Anything Puma.
6. Those shoes with funky soles on the tip...you know like a bear chomped on it for both sexes.
7. For the same token, 'crocodile' shoes for guys and 'witch' shoes for girls. Ballet flats started to become in for girls.
8. Messy spiky hair for guys.
9. Hair frosting and partial highlights.
