If you look at from our point of view, women tend to let their guard down and talk to men who dress like that aka clean cut. It is easier for them I suppose since the male looks professional which exudes confidence. Now, if that same guy was dirty, bald, too damn quiet etc. and tries to talk to the same woman he gets:
Slob
Is he talking to me
Ignore
You do not exist
etc.
Yes, but are they gossipy, weave wearers with French tips? Not to say some woman don't find this appealing (while others will like the opposite) ...but stay within the confines of the thread will ya?

Look. I'm all for people doing what they need to to make themselves feel better, but dammitt I am so over this surge of feminization that is happening to some of the STRAIGHT men out here. I think the same reason that the today women drink, smoke, dress and curse more than a man... not to mention they fight like men nowadays. Would you say these women are not feminine?
I agree with you, a man should not try to imitate a woman to a certain extent. But if they want to look good (because thats the way society is telling us to do), then why not? Its their own thing, they are the same guys that have more beauty products in their bathrooms than their girlfriends, its just the society today.
Alot has changed, and will keep changing... you can keep up and live with it, or get a nice gnarly dude who lives in the forest j/k there are still guys who like to be guys
Also if you see by the responses here, alot of girls/women demand this from their man, so we have to do everything to please you... even if you ask us to wear a tutu when we go shopping!
We live in a society where women are applauded and encouraged to act in traditionally masculine ways but if a man dares to act in a traditionally feminine way, he is derided for it.
Boo-freakin' who already. It's not enough some of you want our habits and mannerisms now we're to blame for why you do so?
