I agree. I could definitely save on laundry and be more comfortable at the same time, but I work in a large warehouse with a crap load of factory women on the lines and don't need them eyeing my package with some of the convos they get going at night. They're bad enough without adding encouragement.

The way womens jeans ride so low, its hard for me to find undies that don't sit higher than the waistband of the jeans. I don't wear those thongs that supposedly look sexy when showing above said low riding jeans. (Personally, I think that looks terribly trashy). So, sometimes, commando it is!

Sometimes, when not working, the boys need more air down there.

It's nice in the summer to feel the breeze in bed.

Technically, anyone who just wears biking shorts is going commando, as they are designed to be worn without underwear. In the 80s, that's all that anyone wore during RAGBRAI, aka 10000 idiots wandering about Iowa for a week on a bike. You don't want to sport wood in those, as they will leave NOTHING to the imagination. If it were me today, I'd wear some baggy shorts over top of the biking shorts.

I have seen guys riding their bikes commando during RAGBRAI, aka nothing between the boys and the big, bright world. Usually happens late in the week, when the general level of DWI on bike is higher. Not recommended.

I think that "going commando" is pretty darn nasty.

I do enjoy the boys hanging free, when I am home, or doing errands in the neighborhood in sweat pants, as they are baggy and loose...........but I don't really wear sweats often ....

Commando is awesome. Been doing it for over 15 years. Shower minimum once a day and mostly 2 times. Its just a personal preference. I don't judge either way and I dont think that its unhygienic. I lived in Florida and each layer of cloths added heat and created issues down under.

It's called "going commando" because you are "ready for action."

I have another phrase which I rarely mention, "Fruit of the Free".
