That's what I was thinking. But if you really think it's the "most beautiful sweater ever", then it probably would be worth that much to you. I've spent $135 on worse purchases than a beautiful sweater!

NOT the "most beautiful sweater ever", and definitely NOT worth $135.

I fail to see the beauty... but if you like it and can afford it, why not?

It would be way better without the prominent logo and if it were not all cotton (it WILL fade).

$135 for 100% cotton is a rip off, Lacoste or not. It LaCOSTe too much.

If you really think it's the most beautiful thing ever, though, it may be worth it to you. In situations like this is, I do a Google shopping search for similar items to put things in perspective. For example, if you search for "black grey white argyle sweater", here are 2 of the results:

Pronto Uomo Gray, White, and Black V-Neck Argyle Sweater | Men's Wearhouse

ARGYLE V NECK SWEATER | Tommy Hilfiger USA

They are not exactly the same as the Lacoste sweater, but very similar.

The sweater from Men's Wearhouse is 92% cotton/8% cashmere and originally retailed for $99, with a clearance price of $19.99 and is now $11.99 with the MW discount.

The Tommy Hilfiger sweater is 100% cotton and originally retailed for $58, with a sales price of $39.99.

I think that really drives home that the Lacoste version is not worth $135.

This is $29.94 right now at Old Navy.... not that the Lacoste sweater isn't nice, but there are many cheaper alternatives around.

It's in many different colors, too.

Meh. It's too preppy and it's WAYYYY overpriced. Man, W.C. Fields was right: there's one born every minute...

In my experience, Lacoste does not hold up well. It requires delicate washing, and shrinks anyway.

No. Not worth it. Why get that sweater, I only mentally associate that 'design' with vests worn over dress clothes.
