KathrynAragon,

Bangs look great on you. Keep them.
They accentuate your pretty eyes, too.

I had 'Betty bangs' or U-bangs for YEARS before finally growing them out. It's too humid here in Boston to keep up with them and I have fairly curly hair to begin with.

I absolutely look better with bangs, especially with the short U style bangs...it's just too time consuming for me now.

Of course, I don't base my hairstyles on pleasing random dudes so I'll just continue doing what I like.

If most of the hairs are side-swept over the forehead and clump together, I don't consider that bangs.

The issue should be pleasing any dudes. I'm still waiting to hear, for the first time in my life, a particular male say that he loves bangs (and not just on a beautiful woman who could pull off many other styles).

That's BS. Tons of people have overly high foreheads or round cheeks or other features which make them look way better with bangs. Bangs are also great for accentuating eyes and cheekbones. I look much better with bangs than without.

Bangs are designed for us larger forehead people.

Bangs make me look younger, because it makes my face look shorter.

Problem is that when they become popular (like they are now) everyone gets them and the ones that look bad stand out.

Also, maybe I have bad taste in women but I think Zooey (who seems to be the poster-child for bangs) looks horrible with them. She has such a beautiful face and her hair hides it. Her sister didnt look good with them either

I think bangs look best on women with larger foreheads. Rashida Jones is a good example. She looks great with bangs and her forehead would look pretty big without them. I can't think of many cases where guys look better with bangs.

I have a tall (large?) forehead. I look much better with bangs. I attempted side swept banks but with my fine hair, they don't stay side swept.

Surely you see that this entire post and thread is a matter of taste and opinion, and nothing more.
