I have a hair appointment in a couple weeks and I'm debating about getting bangs or not. my biggest concern besides appearance, is maintenance, and I have a small forehead. I don't know where to look online for different looks...what do you guys think?

um... the only time i ever had bangs was when i was 8.... and my mom cut my hair.... and she loved hairspray..... early 90s. i refuse to ever get bangs again. lol!

with that being said, i have no clue what it would look like on you.... i know some people that have bangs that look amazing... and then others that i think they let the old woman across the street cut their hair for free.

haha, ya that's what I'm afraid of but my hair stylist is really good. I just haven't had bangs since I was 11 (15 years ago) so I would want it different than I had it then of course but I don't know how it would look on me now.

haha I had the thickest bangs! Like half the hair on my head was combed over and cut into bangs. gross. I once cut my own bangs and I screwed them up pretty bad! the new styles that I see are pretty cute and look really grown up and since I look really young, I was thinking of trying it since I'm about to finish school and get out there and work real jobs. I'll ask my hairstylist what she thinks too.

Bangs are great and come in so many varieties, it's hard to lump them all in one category. If I had the hair to pull off blunt bangs like so: http://www.spoilertv.co.uk/images/ca..._0313_FULL.jpg

And I've often attempted hairstyles along the lines of: http://static.becomegorgeous.com/gal...tyle-getty.jpg

But, tragically, my hair is baby fine and curly, the exact opposite of what you need for those face framing locks. If you have the hair type, go for it. Even if you end up hating it, you can pin them back and within a few months you can pretty much pull them back or push them totally aside. Life is too short to be one of those obnoxious women who cries at the thought of cutting her hair above her shoulders.

Do not get bangs!!!! They are a pain in the arse. Yeah sure they look great the first time a professional does it. Then they get washed and slept on. Then you have to pull them forward. Guess what long strands come forward too. You cut them. Thickening bangs over time. And if you don't want to spend money getting them fixed you cut it yourself( crooked, or too short). You start looking odd. They stick to your forehead when you sweat. Strands get in your eyes.

Had bangs most of my life. They suck. Sideways bangs are great. Push them out of the face.

Get bangs at own risk. If you don't like them after you got them. Headbangs hold them back and barrettes until the darn things grow out.
