I prefer to be on my own. The only time I had a salesperson help me was when I bought my wedding gown.

I like a sales person to ask after I have been browsing for at least five minutes if I need help. Then to let me shop undisturbed after that.

I'd rather be left alone to browse the store. I don't want to be checked on in the fitting room either. Sometimes I browse a store for an hour looking for a top that can be machine washed and dried, and I won't bother with anything I have to dry clean, hand wash, or lay flat to dry. Actually, the last time I went shopping and was asked the usual "may I help you?" I did not give my usual "no thanks, just browsing," instead I said "yes, I am looking for anything that can go in a washer and a dryer." She smiled, then we laughed, then she left me to browse on my own. I'm going to do this more often because it leaves the salesperson stumped as what to recommend and I get left alone!

Don't you work at the Gap?

I want no help when I'm browsing through the clearance rack.

Unless you're a cute girl, who wants to come into the dressing room with me for some personal service, leave me alone.

I like a lot of help. I like help choosing things, matching things, hearing if things look good or not. I actually won't shop in some stores because there isn't enough help.

Next to none. I only want someone around to answer occasional questions, look for inventory in the back, or get another size while I'm in the dressing room. I've had sales people bring me suggested items based on what I had already picked out which I appreciate, but they're usually full priced while I stick to sales racks.

Next to none. Shopping is my "me time", when I have a chance to just relax and think and enjoy browsing.

I do appreciate a quick check in the fitting room, to see if I need a different size.

None unless I go to them. Hate the teenybopper stores.

Coach people hound you too.

Hahah! Yup this is so true! Especially in the department stores. I am over here looking at the 75% off rack, and then they hand me the $300 day dress.

I don't usually like help, but there is a rep in one of my local Macy's who is super helpful. And most importantly, she sets me up in the fitting room in the personal shopping area so it is totally clean. And crowd free! That's definitely the kind of help I appreciate.
