Heh! Though as a woman of fifty, I am COMPLETELY uninterested in younger men, other than indulging in a bit of eye candy.
When I was single in my forties, I gave a younger man a whirl. All I can say is, "YUCK!" He became extremely grating over time - and it was his immaturity, and the lack of shared experiences. For instance, I was a new grandmother, and he didn't even have KIDS at all. I had been married before, he had never been married. After a couple of months, I was quite ready to leave him by the roadside. Which I did - with some difficulty.
But back to the topic of older women and rich lip color - I think it generally looks good, UNLESS the woman has wrinkled lips. In that case, she needs to back away from rich colors.
Also, darker colors make lips look thinner - and as we age, our lips lose some fullness. So be careful, ladies! Proceed with red lips - but proceed with caution!
I would like to see some of these bundled up "old" women...with the scarfs, coats, etc...down South during the summer when the temperature is pushing 100 degrees.
To everyone who is saying, "Yeah, but these old ladies are rich," isn't that true of all models and actresses you see? It's clear that the women in these photos are interested in fashion and have money, but that doesn't mean any more or less than it means when a young model or actress is named to People's Most Beautiful People list.
Not many of us will ever look as cool and put together as Annette Benning, Sharon Stone or fill in the blank at any age. But that doesn't keep us from admiring them and perhaps trying to copy them to whatever extent we're motivated.
Great sequence of photographs...I always suspected that Keith Richards was an older woman. If he wasn't well he is now. Seriously for a moment..beautiful woman who are young look great...beautiful woman when they are remain beautiful...but get to the point of not being so great...it is a very fine line- You can hold off aging for almost for ever but not forever. What I did notice about this pictorial is that all them woman were woman of wealth..that helps a lot.. better food...more interesting life style...and less stress. Other than that...I enjoyed having a look at these grandmothers...other than Jane Fonda..what's with the little leather skirt?
"Old ladies" without money can still make a respectable showing. But they have to be discplined and dedicated to looking as well as they can. This is how you make up for not having the cash to do all the "wow" head turning stuff. Strict about diet and exercise, religiously care for your skin, and pay close attention to color and the cut of clothes that look really good on you.
A mature woman who does this will stand out, because quite a few women this age don't seem to want to be bothered with all this "work".
