Jesus wore sandals. And so did the ancient romans.
They also didn't wear pants. They also didn't use toilet paper. We've come a long way since then.
Besides, I'm willing to bet that Jesus's feet were well cared for and not the hideous smelly lumpy hairy calloused things we see poking out of man-sandals today. He seemed to have people volunteering to wash his feet a whole lot!
No argument here. Some people have some sorry-a$$ looking feet! But well-groomed female feet, to me, are much more tolerable to look at. I just wish all people had the responsible judgment to recognize when their feet are just un-displayable. I think with men's feet, it's the hairy toe thing that grosses me out.
, LOL, good thing I wear workboots 99 percent of the time......not that you would pick on my feet,
LOL, and because I have been wearing workboots for almost forever, the bottom of my feet are baby soft and smooth, when i am at friends pool, people cant believe it, like baby feet. LOL
it is called protection. get a nail in your foot thru a sneaker, wear workboots for life...
In the Midwest it seems that flip flops are most popular amongst the 20-30 somethings for men and women. Not as many people wearing sandals in that age range.
Am I crazy or does it take time to get used to them?
1) You could be crazy but that would have nothing to do with sandals!
2) You're likely just not used to wearing them for whatever reason.
3) The bottom line is there's no reason men can't wear sandals. What kind of nonsense is that?
They're sandals, not high heels. or a dress for goodness sake.
4) Don't confuse perhaps -- not liking the way your feet LOOK in the sandals -- or you think men's feet look weird and so don't like seeing them -- with the feeling that 'men shouldn't wear sandals. Those are YOUR issues, not ANY kind of fashion dogma.
I think it's common to feel self-conscious while wearing sandals but have you ever once thought to yourself, 'ewww, did you see those people's sandals? Horrible. What were they thinking?'
I never have.
