I don't plan on being on the "wrong side of town" anytime soon.

I didn't purchase the chain in the photo but the one I did was 18K gold and it still wasn't cheap. 18K gold is 75% gold with a mixture of other metal alloys to give it a certain polished look. At $1600/ troy oz...an oz of 18K gold is still worth $1200 which isn't anything to sneeze at.

I don't think you know much about jewelry.
,

I only buy 24k, it's soft but i don't wear it everyday. It's the desired gold 99.9% when you need to buy and sell.

I`m personally more into coins, bullion and certain chains, but I`m a small time collector. My cousin is a gold dealer so I have a fair amount of exposure to gold related products....but maybe you know more than I and am always happy to learn from any well informed source.

The bracelet you have in your photo I would guesstimate is no more than 27-29 grams if it`s 18k, which is less than 1 oz.

Not a fan of bracelets or necklaces on men.... I do like it when they wear a nice watch though.

It makes me think "bada bing bada boom."

I wouldn't have a problem with minimal jewelry on a guy. I'm not a fan of yellow gold, but if I'm not wearing it, I don't care.

Do your thang, Speedy.

actually I think gold chains and bracelets on men are a bit tacky. It looks to me so 80's or cuzine, if I spelled it right, maybe it is an Italian thing, but it looks tacky.

my FIL wears the gold chains on top of the black shirts, I don't like it, I don;t think it looks nice.

A wedding ring and a watch is all the jewelry I like on men. Anything more looks tacky.
