Tell him to tape his junk to the back of his leg.

Homophobic American men (millions of them) keep pleated slacks "in-style". So weird...and as pointed out previously, the proper undergarment will keep things in check.

Wearing briefs will help prevent the bulge from showing through.

Uh, yeah sure. Because you have single handedly surveyed every homophobic male in America.

My husband wears Tommy Bahama flat front pants. He seems to be fond of the Bali Five, which Nordies has on sale right now, but unfortunately they only have one color available.

What about Eddie Bauer? Lands End? LL Bean?

L&T is worth checking out. They're not as unreasonably priced as many think.

But with a few outings, he'll be in line with the changing dynamic.

Here's a trick I do with Lord & Taylor, I go to their showroom and test the pants fit and fabric, then come home and find the same from their website, where it's priced 5% or even 10% cheaper. Same with Macy's. Calvin Klein is sold on Macy's. For pants, CK is the best. You can pick them up at the men's wearhouse as well.

Lord & Taylor is famous primarily for their tie selection. It's HUGE.
So your advice is for me to tell him to wear restrictive underwear so that he can wear pants he's not crazy about in the first place? I'll let you know what he says.

He wears boxer briefs. They fit nicely too (no saggy ragbag unders on my man).

Find a high end outlet store like Nordstrom Rack or Saks off 5th, they have nice stuff at a discounted price. Check out Brooks Brothers too if you get a chance. They have a casual line available...Milano, Hudson, or Clark Chino's will probably fit the bill.
