I love coats! I keep buying them and then I never wear them (unless I'm travelling to a colder climate). The weather never really gets cold enough here and I am usually warm enough to not need to throw one on. So they just sit in my closet season after season....looking cute!
I moved my stuff around last night, put my coats away.....yikes I really hate outerwear. I'm.so small & even an XS is ridiculous on me. I wore a zip up puffer most of the winter. Albuquerque is very casual so I can do that. I was hoping more faux fur would show up actually.....I've totally burned out on wool.
I was driving past the train station on Friday and saw a woman in a pretty bright blue jacket. She looked great and I was reminded of how much I like coats. A crisp blouse, some jeans or trousers, a pair of pretty flats, and you're set. Tweedy blazers in the fall, tailored peacoats in the winter, and this time of year is perfect for a lightweight, belted trench, maybe with cuffed skinny jeans and demi wedges. In the summertime I like my fitted jean jacket over a tank and peasant skirt.
Maybe we all live where we were meant to live! I like wearing the few cute jackets I have a few times a year, but that's about it. Being petite, long coats don't look particularly good on me and I have no desire to wear them whatsoever.
Post some! I just posted one I had been eyeing (the first one), and the others are the result of a Google search.
Maybe I will take some pictures of my wife's collection and post them.
