I love to end my day wearing a robe. In fact, I wear one everyday, either at night or morning or both. I even always pack one to take with me when I travel. Right now, I probably have six of them. To tell you the truth, I'm feeling like buying a new robe now, maybe a shopping project for the weekend.
I have a "thing" about them - am I the only one? I am very curious!
I like wearing light cotton robes with a belt or with buttons down the front.
I put on bathrobes only after I take a bath or a shower. It gets too hot wearing them for longer than 10 minutes, plus they are heavy.
Oooooh! I LOVE fluffy, soft robes! I don't like the terry cloth robes - the ones which are heavy and feel like your bath towel. I am in my robe in the morning and at night, and sometimes when I'm extra lazy, I'm in the damn thing all day long! Unfortunately, my birds also like the bathrobe - they love to chew holes in it. (I have 4 parrots). So, when I bring my birds in, I wear my "bird robe" - the one they've already chewed a bunch of holes into. I wear my good robes when I don't have a bird on me.
I have a thing for robes, but they have to be white Turkish cotton (like the ones you find in spas) so I can bleach them. I use one after I shower while getting dolled up (hair & makeup.)

I love those...and even in those I get hot.
I don't like those terry and velour bathrobes too much. When I lived in NYC, I wore them more often. Not so much in Florida.
Mine are all of different fabrics so I rotate them with the seasons and temperatures. Something I am lacking: flannel. I think I need to get a flannel robe.

What is your favorite style? Shawl collar or kimono without the collar?
I don't have a robe and I seriously don't think I ever wore one lol, I just lounge around in my pj's at the end of the day or in the morning. When I go take a shower or a bath or something I change into my pajamas in my room and undress in the bathroom and then I get dressed again when I'm done before leaving the bathroom lol.
If it's cold I put my robe on, but we live in a warm climate so it's not usually needed.
In the mornings after my shower I lotion up and then put a little dress on until the lotion is absorbed. Gotta get some new dresses now that they are in the store again.

I prefer with a collar, but my July/August robe is a kimono style (made out of a light cotton).
