Thongs: no. The idea that someone is running around with cloth tightly pressed against the opening to the source of defecation..is not attractive to even think about, let alone see. Not on me, not on anyone else. I don't get, at all, why anyone would be turned on by this, unless they were some kind of scat fetishist. It's just too gross, for me.

Big loose polyester waist-high panties - they'd probably ride up, plus my jeans are the "just below the bellybutton" type so these would be impractical even if I liked them.

Slimmers - The last time I wore a an elasticized girdle was my wedding day, and I got a yeast infection as a result.

String bikini - if they cover the front and the back enough, I'm fine with them. I like the Jockeys. Not too low, not too high, string sides are thick enough that they don't dig into my skin, but they stay up great.

Hi-cut hipsters - a la Hanes: my favorite, except my jeans are lower than those in the back (only by like, a half inch, go figure). If I'm wearing a long shirt over my pants, then my undies won't show, and I'll wear these.

Panty line syndrome: I don't wear pants tight enough that panties WOULD show through, and any sheer skirts I wear, are worn over a slip. Never an issue. If it were to ever become an issue, I'd rather that people KNOW without a doubt that I *do* wear underwear, than leave them considering the possibility that I don't.

Fabrics: cotton or silk. I have both. I don't do polyester.

It's okay, I find the existence of thong underwear offensive too. I don't take it personally though.
