The easiest knot to tie, and in my opinion the best looking, is the four in hand. It works good for a tall guy like me since it does not use up as much of the tie fabric for the knot, and goes with any collar.

I started researching and will look up the "four in hand" type.
I like the half-windsor the best since it looks more professional & balanced, but not bulky like a Full windsor. Just a tip, stop in at any Brooks Brothers or even Nordstrom's dress shirt department and they'll be happy to show & repeat it with you. Don't try asking at Bannana Republic though, since the sales ppl there are pretty clueless.
I only do the four in hand. Looks fine, although if your tie isn't a thicker one, the knot may be a little smaller than what you'd desire. At that point, the windsor becomes more of an option. I need to learn how to do one of those.
