Is there a relatively easy way to put on a tie?
What kind of knot is the most simple to use?

The easiest knot to tie, and in my opinion the best looking, is the four in hand. It works good for a tall guy like me since it does not use up as much of the tie fabric for the knot, and goes with any collar.

Google it and you'll find some easy-to-follow diagrams.

Okay, thanks.
I started researching and will look up the "four in hand" type.

Once you get the hang of it, it only takes about 10 seconds to do it

I like the half-windsor the best since it looks more professional & balanced, but not bulky like a Full windsor. Just a tip, stop in at any Brooks Brothers or even Nordstrom's dress shirt department and they'll be happy to show & repeat it with you. Don't try asking at Bannana Republic though, since the sales ppl there are pretty clueless.

full windsor is the hardest and the half windsor is slighly harder than four in hand. OP was asking for easiest knot to tie.

The best knot really depends on the tie and who is wearing it, but four in hand is easiest to do.

I only do the four in hand. Looks fine, although if your tie isn't a thicker one, the knot may be a little smaller than what you'd desire. At that point, the windsor becomes more of an option. I need to learn how to do one of those.
