No, States like Wywoming, Montana, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, OK.etc. The Red States. A few of those are midwestern. Other midwestern states like Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan are either Blue states or swing states
ETA, IN case it's not clear
Red State =State that regularly votes Republican
Blue State= State that regularly votes Democratic
Swing State= State that can go either way. These are the states that win elections.
Military members generally overrepresent Red states and under represent blue one
It's the border states of the Midwest with the South (like Missouri, Indiana, and Ohio), that sometimes swing back and forth between red (conservative) and blue (liberal).

I think most of the American midwestern rustbelt cities vote blue. It's kinda sad to see these former steel town cities on governmental life support.

If this may showed swing states, NH, Ohio, Fl, etc it would be perfect.
Ie Florida went Blue in 2012 and 2008 and red (ahem in 2004 and 200)
Maybe I should have gone with Ohio in this example.

I just picked up that map off google with 'red state blue 2012', but it might have given me another map.
But, generally those midwestern blue states in the map, always go blue - Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois.
But, yeah, some of those red states on that map, should have been colored blue for the 2012 - like Florida, etc.
