Not going to debate it.

More of the usual nonsense on here today.

Israel is giving preference to Russia by rallying the world against Russias ally Iran? Do you know who invited putin to speak at the event today? You must think the world is like Russia where the government makes everything happen in countries.

While bringing up world War 2 history, how about the divisions of Russians led and formed by Russian generals who fought the Red Army. How do they figure into your anti polish and Ukrainian rants?

No need to get upset with the messenger if you don't like the message DKM.
Yes, Putin was treated as royalty in Israel yesterday, and yes, I believe that Israel is trying to woo him and make him "join the crowd" while it's rallying against Iran.
Here we go;

"The vice president of the United States, Mike Pence, was here. So, too, France’s President Emmanuel Macron. Prince Charles was in attendance, the heir to the British throne making his first official visit to Israel — a trip that, at any other time, would have dominated local headlines. Dozens of others leaders — kings, prime ministers, presidents et al — took their seats, too, for the Forum’s main event at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial museum.

And yet there was no doubting which international dignitary had the most formidable and dominant presence: Russia’s President Vladimir Putin."

"All three presidents were apparently wary that Putin would use the occasion to set out his Russian narrative of World War II and Holocaust responsibility, at their countries’ expense. With good reason..
..
And, indeed, Putin did speak in terms that would have those leaders squirming uncomfortably and helplessly in their seats had they been in attendance"

What "generals" DKM?
You mean General Vlasov?
Yes, his Russian troops were consisting mostly of the POWs - people that tried to save their lives AND from the White emigration in exile.

These people in no way are celebrated in Russia today ( they are considered to be the traitors.)

So big difference with the volunteers from Ukrainian SS divisions, that are considered "heroes" today in "free democratic Ukraine."

No my point is that people from all over fought against the communists. Not just Balts, Poles and Ukrainians but Russians too. That doesn't make them fascist and it doesn't make them bad just because your indoctrination taught you so.

Was it even a fair fight? Russian skaters take 5 of 6 medals in championship.

When Russians fought against the communists during the civil war - that's one thing, and that's understandable.
When they ( or anybody else) joined fascists in their "fight for freedom," or "anti-communist" fight, this makes them accessory to the crime.

When you fight for the *righteous purpose* ( as these people claimed,) you don't join another gang of criminals - you fight both, clear-cut, without making any "deals."
This, of course, convicts you to certain failure ( and death,) but that's the only time when you can claim that you are the "righteous one."

This makes them war criminals, and it's not "indoctrination" - it's common sense.

Both sides were bad. You had genocidal maniacs on both sides. Thankfully Europe is free of the scourge of fascism and communism.

Nice try to push American propaganda once again and to make an effort to put the "= "sign between Hitler's Germany and Soviet Union, but no.

Hitler's racial theories ( and practice) were far more diabolic in nature than socialist ideas of the USSR.

If Russia does end up siding with Israel, then Iran will become even more isolated then it already is. Russia has also been selling weapons to Saudi Arabia so there's that.

I think Netanyahu is trying to get Putin to recognize Jerusalem and the Golan Heights as Israeli territory.

Having another power, whose ME policies are opposite those of the United States take the same stance, would legitimize Israel's position further in the UN.

I suspect Putin "siding" with Israel may come with many strings attached which at the end may not result in the isolation of Iran but quite the contrary.
Saudi Arabia is trying to mend fences with Iran.
