Honestly though, I can't blame them. If I were a descendent of slaves who had to take the crap they had to deal with, I'd vote for the first black nominee too.

I have to put myself in their shoes on this one.

Okay Let me Put it this way for You,

1. Most AA vote Democrat

2. If U Where Black and every other President White, When a Black Intelligent Presidential Nominee comes along, will You vote for him or not.

So keep On believing that the reason we blacks do not want to vote for McCain is because We are racist and we hate whites.

It's natural biology that people pay more attention to those with common similarities. I can't imagine any KKK member seriously sit down and compare the policies of Barack and John McCain to make an inform decision that's best for the country.

92% of blacks always vote Democratic. Maybe that 6% in this election does so because of race

I think most African-Americans wouldn't vote for McCain for the same reason I won't (and I'm a 43 year-old white female, former Republican):

His policies, or lack thereof, are not what this country needs to heal and move forward!

As has been mentioned on this forum many times before, traditionally African-Americans have supported the Democrat ticket in the past...why would this election be any different? Especially since Barack Obama is THE superior candidate by far.

Another nonsense thread..

Why do whites vote for whites?...........Excatly, nonsense question.

Black people have been voting for whites for about 40 or so short years since they were given the right to vote....First black guy wins the party nomination and it's all about race Nah..Blacks aren't ideologs and vote for the person that best represents their views and issues. It's generally for democratic candidates and this election it no different. Their is more excitement because their candidate looks like them but nothing new..

I am a Black Woman and I wouldn't care if Obama was Green. He wants to end the war and lower my taxes. He wants to re-create the everyone can succeed system that was in place when Clinton was President.

I'm so sick of this nonsense. It really does not matter if one votes for or against Barack Obama based on race. As a free nation people can vote for whom ever for whatever. It's nobody's business what a person's reason are.

You guys can say what you want to, but I'll be honest with you, as a white man, I have decided to vote for the guy with the white mother.
