In 1865, Congressional Republicans unanimously backed the 13th Amendment, which made slavery unconstitutional. Among Democrats, 63 percent of senators and 78 percent of House members voted: "No."

In 1866, 94 percent of GOP senators and 96 percent of GOP House members approved the 14th Amendment, guaranteeing all Americans equal protection of the law. Every congressional Democrat voted: "No."

July 30, 1866: New Orleans's Democratic government ordered police to raid an integrated GOP meeting, killing 40 people and injuring 150.

September 28, 1868: Democrats in Opelousas, Louisiana killed nearly 300 blacks who tried to foil an assault on a Republican newspaper editor.

October 7, 1868: Republicans criticized Democrats' national slogan: "This is a white man's country: Let white men rule."

February 28, 1871: The GOP Congress passed the Enforcement Act, giving black voters federal protection.

April 20, 1871: The GOP Congress adopted the Ku Klux Klan Act, banning the pro-Democrat domestic terrorist group.

September 14, 1874: Racist white Democrats stormed Louisiana's statehouse to oust GOP Governor William Kellogg's racially integrated administration; 27 are killed.

February 8, 1894: Democratic President Grover Cleveland and a Democratic Congress repealed the GOP's Enforcement Act, denying black voters federal protection.

January 26, 1922: The U.S. House adopted Rep. Leonidas Dyer's (R., Mo.) bill making lynching a federal crime. Filibustering Senate Democrats killed the measure.

May 6, 1960: Eisenhower signs the GOP's 1960 Civil Rights Act after it survived a five-day, five-hour filibuster by 18 Senate Democrats.
None of this proves or disproves anything.

No one is saying Repubs are racist.

People are calling Blacks racist.

Former slaves had no greater defender and protector then the Republican Party. These Republicans put their lives on the line for Black folks and now, it's like it never happened.

Oh there's a different standard alright.

It's too bad that it's flying right over your head.

But what do I expect from a person who claims to be a former black racist yet claims he never knew that the word "negro" carried negative connotations?

If I had to guess, I'd guess you're lying about your ethnicity for the sake of argument.

Personally, I wouldn't make such a big deal about it if they didn't make such a big deal about it, but the fact is, they do. They cry racist to all white people who dont support the inexperienced socialist. They really need to stop their little antics....people DONT need to justify their vote, and I feel as if they want white people to justify why they wont support Obama, which is horse @$%#.
How do you know that blacks would be angry if that happened? have you ever discussed it with a black person? or is this the talking point discussed at your club meeting?

Once more...88-92% of blacks voted for the democratic candidate for the past 16 years. These included years that had more than one candidate on the democratic ticket, so if your "theory" holds up, why didn't blacks support Sharpton, Mosely-Braun or Keyes?

Replacing what you think are true facts, doesn't make them true. Trying to ignore true facts won't make them go away either.

It sounds like YOU may be angry at the fact that blacks are keeping their same voting patterns, but this time your candidate is not the recipient of those votes.

If whites voted for someone based only on his color they would universally be considered racist.
So either blacks are racist for doing the same thing, or liberals screaming racist at whites are full of sh*t, which is it?

here are some facts to consider, washington dc, chicago, detroit all BLACK mayors removed from office for criminal activities. all with high crimes, with fully funded failing educational systems.

now consider other cities, for example NEW YORK CITY, used to be one of the most dangerous, now it is rated one of the safest in the USA. REPUBLICAN MAYOR GIULIANI did that.

democratic cities feed off themselves and never solve the issue. they just dump more and more money into nothing. small business' are the way for a community to survive and grow
