YouTube - Dear Mr. Obama
Some redneck douchebag spouting a bunch of bumper sticker patriotic cliches does indeed "sum it all up"; "it" being the utter intellectual bankruptcy of the parasitic pro-war faction in American society.

Well I guess I have "serious problems" because the Iraq war was a mistake. The Iraqis are better off than 2002? This guy should get back to doing what he is good at-- I am sure he is a great soldier who has served us valiantly but he is not very smart and does not have a grasp on what is going on.

You may not think he's very smart, well Einstein he's one up one you because a lot of smart people did support the invasion and occupation of Iraq including two of the candidates in the presidential race. And let's not forget about Hilary Clinton and Colon Powell. The reason they supported the war was so simple that even a patriotic solder could understand it. The chemical weapons used in the Iran-Iraq war and against Kurdish civilians we unaccounted for and the prospect of those weapons making their way into the US was an unacceptable risk for those who were responsible for preventing further attacks on the US.

"Then my daughter Narjis came to me, complaining about pain in her eyes, chest and stomach. When I got close to see what's wrong with her, she threw up all over me," Bayez, a mother of five, said. "When I took her in to wash her face ... all my other children were throwing up."
"Then my condition got bad, too. And that's when we realized that the weapon was poisonous and chemical," she said.
'I couldn't do anything'
Bayez said the villagers fled to nearby caves on mules, "but the helicopters came and bombed the mountains to prevent the villagers from taking refuge anywhere."
Like many villagers, she was blinded by the gas, she said. In the caves, people were vomiting blood, many had burns. "All I knew was that I was holding tight my five children," she said. "I couldn't see, I couldn't do anything, the only thing I did was scream, 'Don't take my kids away from me.'"

Kurds recount gas attack horrors - Conflict in Iraq

That is why we went to war. Get a clue.

Remember that there are many who fully appreciate and pray every day for your family members.

You mean Hillary Clinton and Colin Powell? With that big brain of yours, I would've expected you to be able to spell.

Actually, the ones that were used in the Iran-Iraq War and against Kurdish civilians (which was merely an episode in the Iran-Iraq War) were accounted for--they were used. Duh.

We went to war because Saddam was too big a thorn in Israel's side for too long, and the Israeli defense ministry effectively controls our foreign policy establishment. Bombs away!

Really? So when they tell us to leave, we should, right?

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/12/wo...=1&oref=slogin

2007 they were calling for us to leave. And wanted a timetable.

It's free? Really? Then why are we still there? Are why are we spending $10 billion a month? (Doesn't sound "free" to me)

If it's free, why in hell are Americans still dying there?

The Iraq War was a colossal mistake that this country will be paying for - in more ways than just money - for many years to come.

Thats not why we went to war. We went to war because Saddam was involved in the attacks of September 11th and had weapons of mass destruction that he would use on us next.

Guess you werent paying attention

I'm a vet and so are most of my friends and family, for generations.

Hell, my dad is a war vet, ex-drill instructor.

We all think this war is wrong, even the two cousins of mine who are currently serving in Iraq.
