It pretty much speaks for itself - the graduated income tax is about redistributing wealth from one group to another... from the a) wealthy to the b) poor through government services. He also states "Obama is not a socialist."
I actually give a bit of respect to McCain when he defends Obama. It leads to his character in this campaign. I mean if he defends the opponent when lies come out. Such as the question about Obama being a citizen, McCain says yes, he is a citizen. When the lies come out and say Obama is a Muslim, McCain stands up and says, No, he is not a Muslim, he is a good man. When people even infer and say Obama is a non-Christan, McCain says, No, he is a good Christian man. I gain respect for McCain.
I also tend to believe McCain, because of the above, when he says things that are against Obama and calls him out on lying about the issues.
Also, I see a lot of race talk in Obamas speeches. McCain has never once brought up race. McCain has had many opportunities when arguing Obama's claims to bring up the fact that he has a black daughter, but he takes the high road and does not, again, I have to respect him for that.
I mean if someone is man enough to stand up and publicly defend lies about his opponent, shouldn't I believe him when he says Obama is lying about other issues?
It is proof to me that McCain wants to deal with the issues. He calls a duck a duck, what is wrong with that?
First - Thanks for the Label, It just proves your intolorence for ideas and values of others. Funny how a group of people are forever shouting tolorance to others beliefs, but can't accept anything else but their own. Nice job.
Second - I don't need my candidate of choice how to think. He is not my Savior. I know the definition of Socialist. Obama fits.
obama is a socialist. so is mccain. this isn't rocket science. neither believe in a free market.
True, but one is obvioulsy worse than the other, and onw will obvioulsy take us to a socialist state faster than the other one. And that is "The Messiah"
the messiah has a very short shelf life. most are already sick of him. the next president will be a 1 termer.

I, too, am a former McCain supporter-- gave him my vote and my money in 2000.
When he does something like this-- pulling a 180 on a slimy campaign tactic-- it tells me the old McCain is still in there somewhere. The old McCain can't tolerate what the campaign McCain is doing.
I can't even imagine how conflicted, lost and defeated he must feel right now. And angry. If he doesn't manage to win next Tuesday, the defeat and ignominy could kill him.
I agree! It really is a battle between the old and new. Or at least a battle between mcCain and what his advisors tell him he HAS to do to win.
Obama is not a socialist. I prefer socialist economics and Obama is not nearly as left as I.
